5 Acts of Kindness

  1. Think of your favorite animal that you know. Is it your neighbor's bird, your grandma's new puppy or the sparrow that always comes to your window to visit every afternoon?
What are their favorite activities? Does Grandma's pooch love long walks? Take him for a stroll. Does your neighbor's bird love it when you talk to her? Sing her a song. Does the sparrow love bread? Give  him a little treat.
  2. Does your elderly neighbor always seem lonely? Bake her some cookies or make her dinner and ask if she'd mind a visit. You'll be surprised how happy it'll make her.
  3. Contact your local animal shelter. They can always use a helping hand.
Ask if you can come to play with some puppies or cuddle some kittens. However you want to help, they'll surely appreciate it.
  4.  Does your little cousin beg you to play tea party every second? Play with her. She obviously really likes you and looks up to you, so why don't you have some fun with her? As boring as "tea party" may sound, it's nice to have an admirer.
  5. Is your mom or dad having a hectic day? Offer to make dinner or keep them company as they cook. Pull out a family favorite board game (Monopoly, The Game of Life,) and play after dinner. A little fun helps take some stress off of almost everyone.
