5 Simple Ways to Relive Stress

  1.  Feeling stressed or upset? Clean your room. It helps. Put on your favorite music and dance around a little.
  2. Get a joke book from the library. Read a couple jokes and try them out on your family members and even pets! Then, give them a try with your friends.
  3. Go find a mirror. Smile and say, "Stress is bad for me. I'm a great person and is this matter really something to be stressing over? Think of a simple solution and look at your smile in the mirror. "Once this is over, I'll feel better. I'll work hard. It'll be over soon."
  4. Go outdoors and kneel down on a grassy area. Make sure you are not too cold or too hot. This is best by a warm and calm area with busy, but soft noise (like birds chirping.) Think of your favorite activity--swimming, for example. Now, think of how hard it is to swim while you're stressed. Don't you just wish that your problems would fly away? Think of three of the simplest ways to solve them. Take deep breathes, stretch, take another deep breath and then try to fix the problem.
  5. Stay fit. When you're lying down and sitting around, you're probably more liking to think about things more and worry more. So, take out your bike and go for a ride across the neighborhood. Being active will make you happier and more positive. And, you think about what it is that you're stressing over and find a good solution.  If you're doing something that is calming, enjoyable and active, you'll probably think things through more easily.
